3M Scotchkote Epoxy Coating EA9 Primer is a two component solvent-based product, supplied in both primer and finish coats, it is for use on a range of metallic and glass re-inforced plastic surfaces.

Uses

3M Scotchkote Epoxy Coating EA9 Primer is for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metallic surfaces such as steel, aluminium and galvanised steel. It provides excellent adhesive properties and is easy to apply. This primer provides a very high level of protection against corrosion and chemical damage.

Surface and Environment

3M Scotchkote Epoxy Coating EA9 Primer is for use on both ferrous and non-ferrous metallic surfaces, such as steel, aluminium and galvanised steel. All surfaces that this product is to be applied to should be thoroughly degreased (and abraded when required), prior to application.

Application

3M Scotchkote Epoxy Coating EA9 Primer can be applied using a brush, roller or spray however, it is supplied ready for use in an airless or air-assisted spray.

The usable life of this product should be used within 8 hours and will be touch dry in 2 hours. Hard dry will be reached in 4 hours and full cure takes 7 days. 3M Scotchkote Epoxy Coating EA9 Primer is available in 5 litre units and has a theoretical coverage rate of 8.8 square metres per litre (at 50 microns dft).
