Lubricants have properties to reduce friction and wear between moving parts or surfaces. They come in the form of compounds, liquids or coatings. Depending on the product and application, the purpose of a lubricant is to reduce friction, prevent corrosion, keep moving parts from contact, transmit power, protect against wear.
